So I did a very rough quote on your car, and its coming back at around $4000, which is about $333 per month!
However, I don’t know everything about you, so it may change. I used just a 2 dr Mustang, no GT or anything. the best thing to do, is to get a quote yourself which will be more accurate. Go to http://www.auto-insurance-knowledge.com/24-hour-insurance-quote-auto.html for the quote, it compares all companies and gives you the best prices.
Be sure to mention if you are in school and if you have taken drivers training, as these could reduce your rate.
I can’t answer your question until you are 25 and have a very good record. I would however point out a recent experience with car Ins. I am 72 and changed from NRMA to alliance when the NRMA changed it’s policy on repairers. In the course of that year I had a minor car park accident. I also had my engine burst ito flames when no one was in it. I got a letter from Alliance declining to renew my policy as I had had 2 "at fault "claims in the year. When I pointed out that baursting into flames was not my fault, and after some discussion, I descovered "at fault" means they have nobody to claim the money back from!!!. I went back to the NRMA and told them what had happened and they accepted me.
Ok here is the best thing to do, for fastest and easiest way try to search it on the net, im sure theres a lot of insurance company that could give you an online services, try to visit this site http://www.nightbirdssolutions.com it will provide you list of car insurance company that will give you a cheap and quality car insurance services. Just collect qoutes and select the best one for you.
Do not buy new car. Buy used. Save lots of $, and also lower insurance.
Talk to several different insurance companies for guidance, starting with whoever is the agent for your parents insurance.
Kids your age have a reputation, true or not, of wanting fast cars & drive them fast, and have big accidents. You need to get a car that is outside of this sterotype to have any hope of good insurance rates. They after you have driven 5 years or so without a single blemish on your driving record, have conversations with insurance agent again about what kind of car you can afford insurance on.
